Boyd draws on Hampden memories
Boyd almost single-handedly won the Ibrox club the cup double two years ago when he came off the bench to rescue them in the League Cup final against Dundee United before scoring the winner in the Scottish Cup showpiece two months later.[LNB]But last season, the 26-year-old was only a substitute at Hampden for the League Cup decider against Celtic - which Rangers went on to lose - while he was taken off at half-time during the Scottish Cup final after being affected by the heat.[LNB]He said: "It's a special occasion to play in a Hampden final and only a select few people get to do it.[LNB]"To do it in a Rangers jersey is extra special and to win is a feeling that you never forget.[LNB]"Hopefully, I will experience it again on Sunday.[LNB]"Of course I have had some terrific experiences at the national stadium.[LNB]"The 2008 League Cup final was a fantastic day for me. To come on and score two goals and then score the winning penalty was something very special and I will always remember it.[LNB]"However, that game is in the past and we have to concentrate on what we have ahead of us on Sunday.[LNB]"It's the first trophy available to us and we want to go out and get it.
