The 19-goal striker had to be replaced by Andrew Little just before half-time of Sunday's 3-3 draw at New Douglas Park after suffering a groin injury.[LNB]Rangers, who believe Boyd's problem not to be serious, claim the striker's injury was caused by the awkward conditions underfoot, with the game being played in the middle of the big freeze.[LNB]There was good news on midfielder Steven Davis, who was forced off with a dead leg against Accies but was moving comfortably during training at Murray Park on Monday morning.[LNB]Manager Walter Smith, already without the suspended Kenny Miller for this weekend's SPL match with Hamilton, told his club's official website: "Kris got an injury which we obviously don't want at this time because he has been doing so well for us.[LNB]"He has scored a lot of goals but we have to accept he's injured at the moment and it'll be another 24 hours or so before we know the full extent of his problem.[LNB]"We don't want to be without him for long, especially as Kenny is suspended for the game back at Hamilton on Saturday.[LNB]"The two of them have been doing so well together and it's bad enough, with the injuries we have, that we're going to be without one of them this weekend."[LNB]Rangers are currently without Steven Naismith, Nacho Novo, DaMarcus Beasley, Pedro Mendes and Jerome Rothen, while Madjid Bougherra is at the African Nations Cup.[LNB][LNB]
