Bougherra: We have CL experience now

Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra has urged his Ibrox team-mates to ensure they have no regrets in the Champions League this year.[LNB] The Scottish champions are clearly still smarting from their efforts last season, which saw them finish bottom of their group without a win.[LNB]In fact, Rangers failed to secure a single point at home, with their Ibrox form letting them down badly after shipping four goals to both Sevilla and Unirea Urziceni.[LNB]They now have the opportunity to make amends when they host Turkish champions Bursaspor on Wednesday night, having already held Manchester United to a draw at Old Trafford.[LNB]And Bougherra insists Rangers are a different prospect from 12 months ago.[LNB]"We have more experience than we did last year," he said. "We have an obligation to win the three points if we want to qualify.[LNB]"We have a winning mentality and we have the capacity to win and we need to give everything to have no regrets.[LNB]"All the players have big motivation. Last year we lost everything, on Wednesday we have to prove that we can do something in Europe and that we have the quality.[LNB]"It's more about experience. Last year we weren't afraid but we didn't know what sort of football we were going to see in the Champions League.[LNB]"Now, we know the Champions League tactically and we need to do everything as a team."[LNB]While Rangers' goalless stalemate in their Group C opener earned mixed reviews, Bursaspor suffered a crushing 4-0 home defeat to Valencia and Bougherra says they will have a point to prove in Glasgow.[LNB]He said: "After their first game, Bursaspor have to show to their country that they can do something in the Champions League and they can do better.[LNB]"They come here with nothing to lose because they are playing away.[LNB]"We have to play without fear because we are at home and we have a good feeling here, we've got to give everything to win.[LNB]"Last year, we lost the three games at home and to qualify the home games are key."[LNB]Rangers head into the match boosted by a 100% record in the SPL, which sees them top the table.[LNB]They were forced to fight back from 2-0 down to claim their first win at Aberdeen in almost four years at the weekend and Bougherra believes even conceding two goals can be a positive ahead of this game.[LNB]"Sometimes you have more concentration in the Champions League because there is more pressure," said the defender.[LNB]"There is still pressure in the SPL but the Champions League is so big.[LNB]"Maybe it was a good thing to lose two goals against Aberdeen because, if you are a good footballer, you do not do this again."
