Bougherra happy to win ugly

The Ibrox side have been criticised for their negative style of play recently, which has intensified in the wake of their Co-operative Insurance Cup final defeat to Celtic.[LNB]But, while Bougherra would love to put on a show for the fans every week, the defender believes points are far more important than performances at this stage of the season.[LNB]Celtic head into the weekend action boasting a three-point advantage at the summit of the Scottish Premier League.[LNB]And, with the first silverware of the season residing at Parkhead, Bougherra insists Rangers are even more focused on bridging the gap in the title race and retaining the Homecoming Scottish Cup.[LNB]"We need to win every game," said Bougherra.[LNB]"There are 10 games left and we have to win them all because we are three points behind Celtic.[LNB]"We have no choice. Every game will be very difficult but we have to win.[LNB]"When you play at home, you have to do your best for the fans and you have to play football because we are a big team. But now we are at the stage where we have to win.[LNB]"Three points is the most important thing. With football or without football, it doesn't matter."[LNB]Bougherra is facing a desperate race against time to prove his fitness ahead of Saturday's visit of Hearts.[LNB]He missed last week's defeat at Hampden with a calf injury which is still causing concern but will be given every opportunity to make himself available for selection.[LNB]Asked whether he will be fit for the game, the centre-half admitted: "Honestly, I don't know. We will see tomorrow.[LNB]"I thought it was a very small injury but I tried to train and could do nothing. Hopefully, for this game, maybe.[LNB]"It was very disappointing to miss last week's game.[LNB]"My partner was on the pitch and I was in the stand and it was a big final.[LNB]"I really wanted to enjoy the game and we lost.[LNB]"But we have to concentrate on the title because that's the big one. We also have the Scottish Cup so the future is good."[LNB]Fellow centre-half David Weir is suspended for the clash with Hearts and Bougherra is well aware of how much a blow his absence will be for the team.[LNB]He said: "We will miss him because of his experience in the team.[LNB]"When I play with him, I have a good feeling so it will be difficult without him.[LNB]"We have some other good players with experience, like Davie. But we will miss Davie."[LNB][LNB]
