Bougherra battling for fitness
Madjid Bougherra says he is battling to be fit to play for Rangers this weekend after a hamstring strain ruled him out of Algeria's friendly. [LNB] The defender was due to represent his country in a friendly against Luxembourg on Wednesday but his injury will almost certainly see him miss the game. [LNB]Walter Smith, the Rangers manager, will be praying that the strain is not too serious as his squad has already been heavy depleted by injuries. [LNB]The Scottish Premier League leaders travel to Kilmarnock on Saturday, and their defensive rock admits he is facing a race against time to be fit. [LNB]"I'm not sure if I will play. I will have an ultrasound to assess whether or not I'm fit," he told the Daily record. [LNB]
