Better news for Broadfoot

Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot will only be sidelined for a fortnight after suffering a foot injury in Sunday's Old Firm stalemate.

A scan showed that the former St Mirren star had not suffered a break so he could return to action before the end of February.

However, Nacho Novo is not expected to play any football for at least another month as he continues his recovery from the ankle injury he sustained in last month's game against Dundee United.

Boss Walter Smith said: "Nacho's still a couple of weeks away. The medical team are pleased with the way he's been progressing.

"He's been in plaster and he's been on crutches and I believe it will be anther week before he begins some light jogging. Hopefully he can back two or three weeks after that."
