Beattie upbeat over Gers move

New signing James Beattie is confident of being a success at Rangers, having made his Ibrox debut in the 2-1 weekend win over Kilmarnock.
The 32-year-old former England international lasted 80 minutes against Killie, following his move north from Stoke City on Friday afternoon.
He told his new club's official website: "I got 80 minutes under my belt and I felt a little bit tired towards the end, but we got three points and that was the most important thing.
"I got a great reception from the fans. They were fantastic and it was great for me to play in front of a packed Ibrox.
"Hopefully with another week or two of training behind me, I can repay them with a load of goals this season and I'm sure I will.
"Matches are where you get your sharpness up, but I can do a lot of work between now and the Hibs game that will benefit me."
