Beasley seeking Gers exit

USA international forward DaMarcus Beasley has admitted that he is looking to leave Rangers in the January transfer window to secure regular first-team football ahead of next summer's World Cup finals in South Africa.

The 27-year-old has made just four appearances for the Ibrox outfit this season and is concerned about his prospects in the coming months.

He told the Glasgow Evening Times: "It has been frustrating and I'm looking to move away from Rangers.

"It's not that I'm not happy with the club, it's just that I want to play. I'm only 27 and I feel like I have another six, seven or eight years left.

"My options are open. It might be a move back to Holland or maybe Spain.

"But it needs to be the right situation, where I get a chance to play and stake my claim to US coach Bob Bradley about getting back on the national team and playing at the World Cup next summer."
