Bartley blow for Rangers

Kyle Bartley has been ruled out of Rangers' Co-operative Insurance Cup final team after suffering suspected medial ligament damage in the defeat by PSV Eindhoven. Bartley will have a scan on his knee over the weekend but he faces several weeks on the sidelines if the initial diagnosis is confirmed. But Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist revealed that Kyle Lafferty had a chance of making the Hampden clash against Celtic despite being stretchered off with a knee injury against PSV. McCoist said: "Kyle Bartley is definitely out for the weekend. It looks as though he has medial ligament damage. "He is being assessed at the moment with a view to scanning the injury in the next 48 hours. Kyle Lafferty is a little better than we first feared. "He has taken a good whack on the knee but he has responded well this morning. He will still be a doubt but has a chance."
