Baggies keen on Gers star Ferguson

The 31-year-old, who recently made a surprise return from a calf injury that looked to have ruled him out for the rest of the season, has been linked with a number of clubs. Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace said: "Ferguson's a Rangers player but if he becomes available, I'm sure we'll have a chat." Ferguson's Rangers career looked to be over last month after he and team-mate Allan McGregor were suspended by the club for two weeks without pay for flicking V-signs at photographers while on Scotland duty. That came days after an early-hours drinking session at the national team's hotel. Ferguson - who was stripped of the Rangers captaincy - and McGregor were also handed lifetime international bans by the Scottish Football Association.
