Bad news for injured Gers duo

Rangers duo Steven Naismith and Chris Burke face long spells on the sidelines after being forced to undergo surgery on Monday.

Naismith has been ruled out for the whole of next season after being told his knee injury will keep him out of action for 12 months.

Burke could be sidelined for up to six months with a serious ankle problem.

Both players sustained the injuries in the same match - last month's Scottish Cup semi-final against St Johnstone.
