AM not taking Scotland place for granted

Allan McGregor is grateful to Craig Levein for giving him another chance with Scotland but does not expect to walk back into the national team.[LNB] The Rangers keeper had been banned by the Scottish Football Association along with then Ibrox team mate Barry Ferguson after the 'Boozegate' affair but was brought back in to the fold by Levein after he succeeded George Burley.[LNB]And with Scotland number one Craig Gordon out for three months after breaking his arm, McGregor seems the obvious choice to face Sweden in the August friendly and the Euro 2012 double-header against Liechtenstein and Lithuania in September.[LNB]"It was good that Craig Levein indicated that he wanted me back," McGregor told the club's official website.[LNB]"He came to Murray Park soon after he took over and spoke to a few of the lads and we all liked what we heard.[LNB]"I obviously know that Craig is injured and that's disappointing for him.[LNB]"First of all I have to be picked but I obviously hope that I can get into the team.[LNB]"That's not a given because Marsh (David Marshall) did really well last season at Cardiff so I can't expect just to walk in.[LNB]"There are some big games coming up and I would like to be part of them but I realise that there is competition for the position."
