The Premier League new boys have agreed an undisclosed fee with Rangers for the former Scotland skipper as they look to bring in a new midfielder. Ferguson has now been given permission to travel to the Midlands to open talks with Birmingham over a return to England. Blues boss Alex McLeish has targeted a move for the 31-year-old as he looks to bring in an experienced figure to lead his midfield for the new season. Ferguson's representative John Viola has confirmed a fee has been agreed between the two cubs and the former Blackburn player is due to hold discussions with Birmingham later this week. "Birmingham have agreed a fee with Rangers for Barry," Viola told skysports.com. "We will now go and have talks with Birmingham and see what they have got to offer Barry. "I am flying back into Britain and I expect to travel down to Birmingham soon to begin negotiations."
