Elliot out for Raith

Raith will be without Calum Elliot when Championship leaders Hearts visit as he continues to recover from knee surgery.

Barrie McKay is set to return after missing out on Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Queen of the South that severely dented Kirkcaldy hopes of promotion play-off involvement.

Manager Grant Murray said: "It was disappointing to lose at the weekend but this is the perfect game to have afterwards. There will be a big crowd and a terrific atmosphere and the players will be determined to go out and show what they can do.

"Hearts will win the league however hopefully we can give them their second defeat of the season."

Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson admits he will tinker with his line-up for the clash.

The Jambos coasted to a 4-0 win over Dumbarton on Saturday and with a few injuries to look after, the Gorgie boss plans to give some of his players a well-earned rest.

He said: "I'm not going to make too many changes. There will be one or two, but not too many.

"It's important to win these games so we must make sure that we put out a strong team. I'm lucky enough to have a big squad so there will be a few changes but not a huge amount.

"We must prepare properly and make sure we get the result we need.

"There are a few players that are carrying some injuries so they'll probably come out for a wee bit of time if they need any treatment, but other than that we'll be trying to win every game."
