Rovers duo suspended

Raith are without the suspended Kyle Benedictus and Jason Thomson against Alloa.

Craig Barr (groin) and Lewis Vaughan (knee) will also be on the sidelines so manager Ray McKinnon will freshen up his side after the 2-0 defeat by Stenhousemuir in the Petrofac Cup.

He said: "It was a disappointing night as we created chances and never took them. We have to move from it quickly and start putting points on board in the league.

"With the suspensions we have picked up I am having to change the defence on a regular basis which is frustrating but hopefully a win over Alloa will settle things down."

Alloa will be without Iain Flannigan who has a back injury as they look to bounce back from their own Petrofac Cup disappointment when they lost 2-0 to Elgin.

Manager Danny Lennon said: "We had a lot of possession the other night however we never converted that into chances. There were one or two things in our play that was pleasing however there are other areas that need to be improved. I am looking for a reaction after that result however I am aware that Raith will be saying exactly the same.

"It has been a frustrating start to our season but winning this game would start turning things around."
