Raith back to winning ways

Raith recorded their first win in five games thanks to a 3-2 victory over Hamilton.

John McGlynn's side took an early lead on nine minutes when Jason Holt fired a left-footed effort home from close range.

Hamilton came back into the game seven minutes later thanks to Douglas Imrie's emphatic left-footed finish.

The home side regained the lead in the 61st minute when John Baird set up Denis Prychynenko to convert from six yards out.

Raith extended their lead on 79 minutes when David Smith sent a thundering 25-yard strike into the back of the net before Hamilton were awarded a penalty in the 86th minute to set up a tense finish when Prychynenko upended Matthew Paterson.

James Chambers missed the subsequent spot kick, but Mark McLaughlin did manage to score in the closing seconds for Hamilton with an impressive strike from just outside the area.
