Rovers stun Jags

John Baird struck the winner as relegation-threatened Raith came from behind to beat 10-man Partick 2-1 at Stark's Park.

Kris Doolan put the Jags in front after 28 minutes when he connected with Stephen O'Donnell's right-wing cross to drill into the bottom right-hand corner from 12 yards.

Chris Erskine was denied by Raith goalkeeper David McGurn moments after the restart before the comeback started.

Partick midfielder David Rowson fouled Baird and Allan Walker curled the resulting free-kick into the box for Brian Graham to fire home left-footed after 63 minutes.

Five minutes later, the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Paul Paton was shown a straight red card for a foul on Graham.

Baird then headed in Willie Dyer's left-wing cross 18 minutes from time to take all three points for Rovers and move them out of the First Division relegation zone.
