Rovers extend lead after win
Raith extended their lead at the top of the First Division to six points with a comfortable 2-0 win over Queen of the South at Palmerston Park.
John Baird nodded Willie Dyer's left-wing cross past home goalkeeper David Hutton to give his side a 24th-minute lead and Mark Campbell should have doubled the advantage in the 48th minute, but the defender somehow fired wide from six yards.
However, Campbell soon made amends for his earlier miss when he put the game beyond Queen of the South with a strong header from Allan Walker's right-wing cross in the 59th minute.
