Lyle seals point for Hamilton

Substitute Derek Lyle's 73rd-minute strike completed his side's comeback as Hamilton came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Raith at New Douglas Park.

The away side took the lead on the stroke of half time thanks to John Baird's left-footed strike.

Raith doubled their lead after 62 minutes when midfielder Joe Hamill latched on to Brian Graham's pass to send a right-footed strike low past Hamilton goalkeeper Tomas Cerny.

The home side started their comeback four minutes later when Greig Spence headed home Ali Crawford's cross, before Lyle equalised with a right-footed effort from 12 yards after good work from Grant Anderson on the right wing.

Midfielder James McAllister had the opportunity to complete a remarkable turnaround but his left-footed strike flashed wide in the dying moments.
