Robertson leaves it late for Ayr

Ayr secured a 2-1 win over Raith courtesy of substitute Ross Robertson's last-minute winner.

Michael Moffat put the home side in front after 23 minutes, firing home from close range following Micheal McGowan's cross.

Things went from bad to worse for Raith as, five minutes later, they were reduced to 10 men when Ross Callachan received a straight red card for violent conduct towards Mark Roberts.

But they responded in fine style and grabbed an equaliser 10 minutes before half-time, Joe Hamill sweeping home from inside the box following John Baird's pass.

The away side seemed certain to clinch a well-deserved point but Robertson rose in the first minute of injury time to head James McKernan's cross home.
