Vine sets comeback target
14 Apr 2008 - 12:55:43
Injured QPR striker Rowan Vine could be back in action within six months after making a 'fantastic' start to his rehabilitation from a double leg break.
Vine, 25, suffered the injury in training earlier this month, but R's head physio Paul Hunter has revealed his surprise at the striker's determination to make a swift return.
"He is looking fantastic, all things considered," he told the club's official website.
"We will be in the gym this afternoon (Monday) in the hope that he can start doing some exercise bike work.
"Rowan has stated that he wants to return within six months. I have to say that if he maintains his attitude, which has been first-class so far, he has every chance of doing just that."
Meanwhile, Hungary midfielder Akos Buzsaky is also close to a comeback after three weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
