Rehman in R's switch

QPR have moved quickly to plug the gap left by Danny Shittu's departure by signing central defender Zesh Rehman from Fulham for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract at Loftus Road and R's boss Gary Waddock is confident he will prove to be a more than adequate replacement for Shittu, who made a big-money move to Watford last weekend.
"It's a superb signing. We've got a player with Premiership experience and who is undoubtedly Premiership class," Waddock told the club's official website.
"He's an out-and-out defender but also has the unique ability of being able to bring the ball out of defence.
"There aren't many central defenders who can do that in the present day, so I'm delighted he's signed for us."
Rehman made 21 Premiership appearances after progressing from Fulham's youth set-up and has experience of playing in the Football League from loan spells with Brighton and Norwich.
