Peter Ramage believes the managerial uncertainty and subsequent departure of Kevin Keegan has justified his decision to swap Newcastle United for QPR.
The 24-year-old defender turned down a new contract offer at the Premier League club to move to Loftus Road during the close season.
Ramage has admitted he is bemused by the latest managerial goings on at St James' Park which have led to the resignation of Keegan after just eight months at the helm, but the Newcastle-born youngster is happy to be far away from Tyneside.
"Having been on the inside since the age of 11, it's really odd being on the outside now. It's taking some getting used to, that's for sure," he told the club's official website.
"I spoke to a few of the lads after they played Arsenal on Saturday and it was strange that they are no longer my team-mates.
"But even though it is obviously taking time getting used to being away from Newcastle, I couldn't be happier with the decision I made to come here.
"I have no regrets at all and am more certain than ever that this was a good choice for me."
