R's slated again by Oyston

Blackpool have reacted angrily to claims from Queens Park Rangers that they have been given permission to speak to central defender Kaspars Gorkss.

The 26-year-old Latvia international has made known his desire to leave the Seasiders, who have become increasingly frustrated by Rangers' conduct over any potential deal.

A club statement on Friday read: "Queens Park Rangers have been given permission to speak to Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss.

"The 26-year-old has agreed personal terms and the deal is expected to be finalised early next week."

However, a furious Pool chairman, Karl Oyston, told the Blackpool Gazette: "We definitely have not given them permission to speak to him. I am disappointed once again with the way they have gone about their business."

Oyston had earlier fumed: "QPR have been very badly behaved. It is as blatant an illegal approach as I have known in all my time in football.

"We have had interest from other clubs and if I had anything to do with it, Kaspars would go to any other club rather than QPR."
