R's slam Dowie rumours

Queens Park Rangers have moved quickly to deny reports suggesting Iain Dowie is on the verge of being sacked.
A story in The Times suggested Dowie, who was only appointed in May, had clashed with co-owner Flavio Briatore over the recruitment policy at Loftus Road.
The fall-out was said to be over the proposed transfer of an unknown striker from the Middle East.
However, the Championship side insists there is "categorically no truth in the rumours".
