R's bring back Mancienne

Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal to bring Chelsea youngster Michael Mancienne back to the club on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old defender made 30 appearances for the Hoops last season and manager John Gregory is delighted to have Mancienne back in his squad.

He told the club's official website: "We're extremely pleased that we have the opportunity of having Michael in our squad for the whole of next season.

"He had an outstanding period with us last season and I would like to pay a special debt of gratitude to Chelsea for allowing Michael to continue his footballing education with us.

"If he makes the progress this season as he did last season, we can expect even greater things from him."
