QPR have approached well-travelled Italian coach Francesco Guidolin to become the new manager at Loftus Road.
The 52-year-old has held talks with new R's owner and fellow countryman Flavio Briatore over replacing the sacked John Gregory at the Championship strugglers.
Guidolin has coached several Serie A clubs including Palermo, Genoa, Bologna and Udinese.
He has been out of work since leaving Palermo - for the second time in his career - at the end of last season.
"It's true, I've met Briatore," revealed Guidolin. "But there is nothing definitive.
"I admit that I would be pleased to have a professional adventure in England."
