QPR boss John Gregory has pulled the plug on a bid to sign Portsmouth defender Richard Duffy on loan because of his personal demands.
The 21-year-old Wales international has struggled to feature in the Pompey first-team this season following the arrival of Glen Johnson on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
However, a switch to Loftus Road ahead of Saturday's visit of Norwich City collapsed and Duffy will remain at Fratton Park for the time being.
Gregory told the club website: "It's simple - the deal is off. We couldn't agree terms.''
