Quashie signed for £1.5m from West Bromwich Albion in January 2007 becoming Alan Curbishley's second signing since becoming West Ham boss. The experienced midfielder was born in Southwark, England however decided to reprisent Scotland at full international level, qualifying thanks to a Glasgow-born grandfather.
