Play-off goal for Leigertwood

QPR defender Mikele Leigertwood has set his club a target of the play-off places and a crack at promotion to the Premier League.

The former Crystal Palace defender, who joined Rangers in the summer for just under £1million from Sheffield United, believes the club have what it takes to challenge for promotion.

"We have all the ingredients to go on and really push for a play-off position with the solid base that we've got. We have good team spirit and have a lot of ingredients to kick on and hopefully we will," the 26-year-old told BBC London.

Leigertwood also reserved praise for manager Paulo Sousa, commenting: "Hopefully he'll be here for a long time and we can kick on with him because he's really good."
