Jewell keeps his counsel

Wigan boss Paul Jewell refused to criticise referee Rob Styles' decision to send off Fitz Hall during the Latics' 1-1 draw with Watford on Wednesday evening.
Hall was dismissed for a two-footed lunge at Johan Cavalli after just 20 minutes at Vicarage Road.
However, with an FA charge of improper conduct already hanging over his head following his angry blast at referee Phil Dowd two weeks' ago, the Latics chief played down the latest incident.
Caleb Folan equalised Darius Henderson's opener to earn Jewell's side a point.
"I didn't have a good view of it (the sending off)," he claimed.
"That's not a kop out. I was on the other side of the pitch, but from where I was, I was surprised when the red card came out.
"I've congratulated the team on a point well gained so I don't want the sending off to overshadow what I think has been a tremendous performance.
"It may not have been a great football match but I can't speak too highly of the character we showed.
"There's been a good resilience about us over the last three or four weeks. I think the performances against Portsmouth at home and Arsenal away gave us great heart."
