Gregory snaps up Blues starlet

QPR manager John Gregory will seal a deal to bring Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne to Loftus Road on a one-month deal before Tuesday's Championship clash with Derby County.

The promising 18-year-old has been on Chelsea's substitutes' bench three times without actually getting on to the pitch, including this season's Premiership encounter with Manchester City.

Gregory is a big fan of the teenager, telling QPR's official website: "He's a fantastic prospect.

"Michael will go straight into the squad on Tuesday and it's a great chance for the QPR fans to see one of Chelsea's - and England's - brightest young talents in action.''
