Internazionale veteran Luis Figo has rubbished reports linking him with a move to England with Queens Park Rangers.
The 35-year-old former Barcelona and Real Madrid star had been linked with a possible move to the ambitious Championship club at the end of the season.
The R's have an Italian head coach in Luigi De Canio and were boosted earlier in the season with the boardroom arrivals of Formula One magnates Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, plus a representative from the family of Indian billionaire Lakshmi Mittal.
However, Figo has denied stories suggesting he will be the latest high-profile arrival at Loftus Road.
"I am surprised by these stories," Figo told the Lusa news agency.
"It is not true that I am negotiating my arrival in England as has been published in the press."
