QPR have announced the loan signing of Daniel Parejo, a 19-year-old product of the famed Real Madrid youth system.
Midfielder Parejo is rated as one of the top young players in Real's reserve team, Castilla, and was reported to have been chased by a number of clubs, including Arsenal.
The deal was announced as an "incredible coup" by QPR chairman Flavio Briatore, who told the club's official website: "We're delighted to have agreed a deal to sign arguably the hottest prospect in European football.
"Daniel is a great, young talent and we're looking forward to welcoming him to the QPR family."
Parejo added: "I am very happy to be coming to London to play for Queens Park Rangers. I had a very nice meeting with Mr Briatore and he has great ambitions for this club."
QPR manager Iain Dowie explained what it was that Parejo will bring to Loftus Road. He said: "He gets it and gives it and is the link man we've been looking for.
"He's comfortable on the ball, has great technique and is deadly from set-pieces."
