QPR coach Luigi De Canio has challenged his players to be more consistent against the Championship's lesser teams following Sunday's 3-0 defeat of Stoke City.
The R's moved up to 15th place in the table after goals from Mikele Leigertwood (2) and Akos Buzsaky secured the points against the promotion-chasing Potters at Loftus Road.
De Canio's side have performed markedly better against teams towards the top of the table than those around them and afterwards the Italian coach called for greater consistency.
He said: "I'd say that was a good afternoon's work.
"One of the best ways to score is to counter-attack and I was pleased with the way we did this.
"We have beaten the top teams this season and this shows we need to acquire the mentality when playing teams at the bottom of the table.
"Consistency is important because our position in the table is defined by our performances week in, week out."
