Cerny extends QPR stay

Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Radek Cerny has signed a one-year extension to his contract.

The 35-year-old Czech will now stay at the Loftus Road club until the end of the 2010-11 season after signing on a free transfer last summer.

In 47 appearances in his first year, he recorded an impressive 19 clean sheets in an excellent debut campaign.

He started his career in his homeland for Slavia Prague before coming to England to sign for Tottenham.

After playing a bit-part role at White Hart Lane he left Spurs after the 2007-08 season.
