    Agyemang blow rocks R's

    23 Jan 2009 - 12:08:32

Queens Park Rangers striker Patrick Agyemang is set to miss most of the rest of the season due to a thigh injury.

The 28-year-old has not featured for the R's since the goalless draw with Burnley earlier this month and now faces a lengthy recovery period.

Head physio Paul Hunter told the club's official website: "In terms of recovery time, unfortunately we're talking months rather than weeks - we're hoping it will be around the three-month mark.

"We've already had a review with the surgeon, who is happy with the early progress he is making.

"To be fair to him, Pat has been first-class so far, but realistically the earliest comeback for him is mid-April."

Agyemang has scored ten goals in 39 appearances for Rangers since his arrival from Preston North End a year ago.
