Warnock: We've shaken hands on deal

QPR manager Neil Warnock is confident Darren Ambrose's proposed £750,000 switch from Crystal Palace is still on. The midfielder was expected to be first out of the door at Selhurst Park when Palace's administrators were poised to begin liquidating the club on Tuesday. But the CPFC 2010 consortium struck a last-ditch deal to save the Eagles and, having put any player sales on hold, are set to try to persuade last season's 20-goal top scorer to stay. However, Warnock told the Ealing Gazette: "Darren has his heart set on coming to Rangers and we've shaken hands on the deal with Palace. I doubt they and their new owners will want to renege on the transfer now. "If this is all about money then we've agreed a fair deal and we're not going to increase our bid."
