Warnock still waiting on Ambrose

QPR boss Neil Warnock is willing to bide his time as he looks to complete the transfer of Darren Ambrose from former club Crystal Palace. The midfielder, who netted 20 goals for Palace last season, is still hoping to seal a £750,000 switch to Loftus Road but the CPFC 2010 consortium now running the Eagles have put any player sales on hold. Warnock told QPR Player: "There's been no change. Darren obviously was very disappointed to more or less have the rug pulled from under his feet. "He'd already shook hands on everything. I think he was actually looking into a box for his family as well. "I think Darren was very, very disappointed but it's their prerogative. I know the guys that are coming into 2010, they're good people and they want to do their best for the club. "The offer's on the table and then we'll have to wait and see what will happen and obviously Darren's hoping he'll be able to move permanently. But I think we've just got to play it by ear over the next few weeks really."
