Warnock shares the plaudits around

QPR manager Neil Warnock refused to heap further praise on Adel Taarabt after he masterminded the 2-0 victory over Scunthorpe at Loftus Road. Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Taarabt was the star of the show, causing no end of problems for the Iron defence and setting up both goals before he was replaced in the 72nd minute. Warnock said: "Adel Taarabt will get all the plaudits. But as manager, the top men for me were Matt Connolly at the back and Alejandro Faurlin in midfield. "I've never worked with anyone like Alejandro. He's a great player and a great professional, and does great things even though he's underrated. "And as manager I'd also pick out Shaun Derry. You need people like Derry, Clint Hill - and Paddy Kenny too - and I'm pleased with all those players. "It was a difficult game because everybody expects you to beat Scunthorpe, and that's no disrespect to them. When I was at Crystal Palace last season they beat us 4-0 - I nearly packed it in that night - and they beat QPR too. So I'm pleased to have got this win."
