Warnock remaining grounded

Neil Warnock was keen to keep a lid on expectations at QPR after his side's resounding 3-0 victory at Ipswich left them three points clear of the Championship chasing pack. Jamie Mackie made it six goals in as many games following his summer move from Plymouth and Heidar Helguson rounded off the scoring with a third from the penalty spot. "Expectations are expectations," said Warnock. "We've never had stability at the club and I was the fifth manager last year. "But we've moved on and got good acquisitions since then. "We had eight players on loan last year and couldn't get a dressing-room spirit, but the club have supported me by letting me bring my own players in and having a bigger squad. "You can see the benefit. We had a lot of flair players last season but we didn't have the bread-and-butter players."
