Warnock pushes aside QPR woe

Neil Warnock refused to let off-the-field issues ruin his enjoyment at guiding QPR to promotion back to the Barclays Premier League.

A 2-0 win at Watford, thanks to goals from Adel Taarabt and Tommy Smith, ensured Rangers got the result they needed on the pitch - but now they need one off it.

The npower Championship title-winning party may have begun but in the back of everybody's minds is the outcome of next week's FA hearing into the transfer of Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.

Their fans shrugged off fears of a points deduction and hailed their side as 'champions', but Watford's fans responded by warning them 'you're gonna lose in the play-offs'.

Yet Warnock basked in the glory of the seventh promotion of his career and insisted: "It's a wonderful feeling.

"I think it's the best job I've ever done, I've got other promotions but not in such a short space of time, in 13 months from battling relegation to winning the Championship. Over the season the players have been magnificent. I can't fault any of them."
