Warnock had been chasing Walters
QPR boss Neil Warnock has admitted he missed out on his number one transfer target when Jon Walters opted to join Stoke.
Warnock was ready to match Stoke's near-£3million bid for the Ipswich forward but has now gone back to the drawing board in his attempts to boost his firepower at Loftus Road.
He told the Ealing Gazette: "Jonathan could have played up front or on the right and now I've got to look for two different players for the same role."
