QPR boss Neil Warnock was pleased to see his side given a testing time by former side Plymouth on Friday night.
Luke Summerfield put the League One side ahead from the penalty spot before Jamie Mackie levelled for Rangers to leave Warnock satisfied.
He said: "Plymouth provided exactly the test I expected.
"That was just what we were after in terms of preparation for the opening day against Barnsley.
"It was a tough test against a very well organised side and it will stand us in great stead for next weekend."
