QPR boss Neil Warnock feels next season's Championship will offer "an equal playing field".
This term Newcastle were crowned champions by some distance and West Brom were also comfortably promoted back to the top flight at the first attempt.
So without those two big clubs, Warnock is expecting a far closer promotion race and fancies his chances of making sure Rangers are in the mix.
"I think it's going to be a very exciting season," he said.
"It's not often you're on an equal playing field and next year it will decide who is the best manager too."
