Warnock aggrieved by red card

QPR manager Neil Warnock felt Matthew Connolly`s dismissal in his side`s 1-0 defeat at Norwich was the wrong decision. Russell Martin scored the only goal of the game after 10 minutes before Championship leaders QPR had Connolly sent off for what was adjudged to have been a professional foul on Grant Holt early in the second half. Warnock said: "I am very disappointed with the sending off. You always hope the officials get the big decisions right but that certainly didn't happen. "There is no doubt Grant Holt deliberately handled the ball before he was brought down by Connolly. It was a foul, but by then the referee should have stopped play and awarded a free-kick to us. "Holt has been very clever, I saw him go down for a penalty in their game against Sheffield United when he conned the referee and he has done it again." Warnock added: "Overall I can't complain about the effort the lads put in. It was difficult when we went down to 10 men but we still created one or two chances and Patrick Agyemang should probably have scored with his header. Paddy Kenny has made some great saves as well but that's what you'd expect when it's 10 versus 11 and we are chasing the game."
