Taarabt strop wrecks United hopes

Neil Warnock was perversely happy to see Adel Taarabt behave the way he did during last weekend`s goalless draw at Hull. The moody, but so often brilliant, Moroccan showed his dark side at the KC Stadium as he sulked, bickered with his team-mates and asked to be substituted during the first half. Afterwards, Taarabt claimed he could soon be making a switch to Manchester United, and Rangers manager Warnock confirmed scouts were present at Hull to witness his fiery display and admitted he could not have been happier to see his star man act the way he did for fear of losing his services. "I think they all came to watch him on Saturday so he can forget that," said Warnock, speaking after Tuesday night`s 2-0 win over Portsmouth. "It couldn`t have happened at a better time for me. I was delighted about his strop, absolutely delighted with the way he reacted. "I said on the bus when we got back on `well, that`s done that hasn`t it?`. We`ve no chance of losing him now."
