Striker tops Warnock `wanted' list

QPR manager Neil Warnock revealed he is in the hunt for a striker after wishing Carling Cup conquerers Port Vale good luck after their 3-1 first-round upset at Loftus Road. Two goals from Vale striker Justin Richards and one from Sean Rigg ensured a big shock in soggy west London and although substitute Antonio German's angled drive went in off both posts with half an hour remaining, Vale held out for a famous win. Warnock said: "I brought seven players in in the summer and you can see the squad is still four or five players short. With respect to the lads we had on the bench, we need a better bench than that if we're going to be in the top half of the table. "I'd like to get players in, certainly one or two strikers. I've got a number one target in mind and if that doesn't come to fruition then I've got a number two target and number three. "Heidar Helguson is away on international duty with Iceland, and we missed him. We're not strong enough at the moment to be without certain players."
