QPR defender Damion Stewart had a `stable night` in hospital following his sickening clash of heads with Crystal Palace forward Calvin Andrew. Stewart was stretchered off after the accidental clash in the opening minute of the game at Selhurst Park with what turned out to be a fractured skull and bleeding into the brain. Rangers head physio Paul Hunter told the club`s official website: "Damion had a stable night in a private London hospital. He has seen a neurosurgeon and will undergo further tests tomorrow (Monday). "I am pleased to report that the bleeding into the brain has stopped but we will continue to monitor his status on a hourly basis. "Damion has shown normal neurological signs throughout, which is very reassuring."
