Snow leads to further postponements

Npower Championship leaders' QPR's trip to Hull headed the list of postponements as the weekend's sporting fixtures continued to fall victim to the wintery weather.

The clash was cancelled on safety grounds by the Tigers, meaning the match went the same way as Portsmouth v Burnley.

The South Yorkshire derby between Doncaster and Barnsley fell on Thursday, as did Reading's trip to Sheffield United. The weather hit harder in the lower divisions, with League One matches at Hartlepool, MK Dons, Rochdale, Walsall and Yeovil all being postponed.

In League Two, only the matches at Bury, Cheltenham, Northampton, Oxford and Torquay survived.

In Scotland, after the Clydesdale Bank Premier League pulled the plug on all matches on Thursday, the only fixture still slated to go ahead was Alloa v Peterhead in the Second Division.
